Dear Nikoleta, YiaYia, Angie + Alex- Thank you for an unforgettable stay at Baklava Villa! We have never felt so safe, cared for and happy with a vacation stay! From the beautiful home, to the yummy snacks and warm company, it was perfect! We enjoyed long beach days at Alaties Beach and many hikes around the island. Yiayia even gave my mother a cooking lesson! Rarely would a day go by without a gift of eggs or snacks on our porch. The sunsets were never ending at the weather was absolutely perfect. We only met friendly beautiful people while we stayed. Our “home” for the weeks was so so so clean! So thankful for all the work these women put into the upkeep. We will be back many times! Thank you for the most magical week at Baklava Villa! From the lovely treats upon our arrival to all the care and attention along the way. We have never felt so pampered. We enjoyed our dinners and snacks at Alati, a seaside lunch at Odysseas, the incredible sunsets from the pool and our trip was with Fotis on Fiscardo Sailing was such a special treat! Thank you Nikoletta for the extra effort ever as you were preparing for your sweet new baby! These four friends- two couples each celebrating our 25th wedding anniversaries- wanted to take an “Epic Vacation”. This place has been so much more than “Epic” I don’t know how we can ever top it! It’s been as delicious as mom’s marmalade, as studding as a sunset over the sea and as special as we would have ever hoped for. Thank you!!!
I don't even know where to begin. The house itself is beautiful and well designed - absolutely perfect for two couples or a family with plenty of privacy but also shared space for hanging out. The location is stunning. It sits on a hillside overlooking the Ionian Sea. The sunsets are amazing. Huge accordion sliding doors open up to the infinity pool, with the sea beyond. We were blown away. There is a nice restaurant and small beach within a short walk. Nikoletta and her mother were so friendly and communicative. They met us at check-in with detailed instructions and messaged several times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. I can't recommend this place enough.
Our second visit to Baklava Villa and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. Simply fantastic! If you want to venture further afield we can highly recommend an evening meal at The Three Wise Monkey in Assos, with wine pairing. Picnic in Maganos is always good for breakfast and Mylos in Fiscardo. See you soon!

Much has been written in the journal. Clearly your care is helping all the guests enjoy the beautiful place. We also enjoyed your care and attention to details, like the fresh figs and tomatoes from the garden. The help during the storm and organizing the boat trip to Ithaca. A couple of our recommendations for your trip include: • Alati, not only has great tuna, it is also one of the few places which serves white tarama • Explore the rock behind Alati, where they harvest salt from the sea. • Jump off the rocks that you see from the house but only with calm seas. Re-entry is at the end of the peninsula. • Kimilia beach is a hidden treasure, bring snorkeling gear. But all you really need is the Baklava Villa, uniquely positioned for sunsets, each one more gorgeous than the next. We truly enjoy the warmth of Kefalonia. All the best
It is difficult to put into words what a magical week we have had at Baklava Villa. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted as if we were family. Nikoletta provided us with an excellent tour of the facilities in this perfectly designated villa and the surrounding area. We appreciated all the small touches- from the mid-week clean to the homemade produce on arrival (the orange marmalade jam was amazing!!). You won’t be short of places to eat in the area. We enjoyed some lovely morning coffees and lunches in Fiscardo and, if you can pry yourself away from the sunset on the villa’s balcony, an evening meal or two (or four in our case) at Alati- just a short walk down to road is a must. The tuna is the best fish dish we ever tasted! Although everyday was perfect, our best was spent sailing the Ionian with our very own captain which Nikoletta kindly organized for us at short noticed. We spent 7 beautiful hours swimming the sea, having lunch at Meganisi and sailing around the picturesque island of Scorpios. As if the day couldn’t get any more perfect we came home to a delicious homemade dish gemista made by Nikoletta mum and we were so touched by the kindness. Our second visit to Baklava Villa and it did not disappoint. It is a slice of heaven and the most perfect place to rewind and relax. From the early morning swims at Alaties beach to enjoying the most spectacular sunsets on the terrace from the pool. This year we enjoyed walking to Kimilia Beach through the forest, breakfast in Fiskardo, a drive to Mytros Beach (but it was busy, so I would go early) and a trip to Agia Effimia and Asoss. Alati Restaurant is sensational- the tuna is one of the best things I have ever eaten. What a treat to have it in walking distance. Nikoletta- thank you for looking after us while in Kefalonia. Baklava Villa is truly a magical place that delights your senses and restores your soul. After many visits to Kefalonia, we can say with confidence that Baklava Villa stands far above the other residences we’ve stayed at. The beauty of the perfect centered sunsets is unparalled. The sweet smell of Kefalonia pine trees is delicious and fulfilling. The sounds of Cicadas and wildlife is both relaxing and intriguing. The residence is absolutely perfect and thoughtfully designed. WE appreciated the premium mattresses, the well- equipped kitchen, the multi room music capabilities and hard wood floors. If you enjoy cooking, you’ll find fresh herbs like bay leaf and rosemary and oregano growing outside. The residence even has lemon trees, tomatoes, sweet peppers and zucchini growing outside too. The books inside the home were very interesting and informative. I would encourage others to read. Alaties Beach is absolutely amazing for sunsets but you might have a difficult time leaving the villa since the view here is perfect! 😉 Our Children enjoyed Emblisi Beach- It is very well suited for families with shade at the top of the beach, calm water and numerous flat rock out cropping’s on either side of the beach. Additionally, there are hiking trails behind the snack and drink vendor. Alati serves fantastic mojitos and has the best food in the Fiscardo area. We left feeling extremely satisfied and feel so blessed for fortunate for the opportunity to experience this magical place on earth.
So happy to return to this beautiful island once more and villa Baklava as lovely as we remembered. Brought some friends this time and they loved it too. We have been coming to Kefalonia for 12 years now and though we had seen all but this place, Baklava Villa is surely a slice of Heaven. First time in Kefalonia and won’t be the last. Great communication from Nikoletta, nothing was too much trouble and she has been fantastic. What a place. Incredible design and layout, it’s perfect, every room has lovely touches The sunsets – OMG The welcome pack is very good and gives you something to do every day. Myrtos beach has the most amazing colors Alati Taverna is excellent, great food, great drinks and is only a 2-minute walk. Odysseas Tavern is about 7 minutes in the car and is also good. This has been a fantastic holiday. The villa is well positioned and the umbrellas are God send when the sun is fully out! The sunsets are amazing and the seating and beds are very comfortable. Nikoletta (and her mom) made us feel very welcome from the start and the welcome goodies were lovely. The marmalade is to die for! Fresh lemons and eggs delivered midway through the week were great too. The villa has everything you need and if you do venture out the taxi is reliable (first number in the book). Tassia Restaurant in Fiscardo is lovely and there is a large supermarket it near to it. The supermarket in the local visit is good for essentials too. We send love to Nikolett and her family and the best of health and happiness for when the bay arrives.
This was an amazing vacation for the two of us and Baklava Villa was the heart of it. Everything was pristine and every corner thoroughly planned out. What an amazing home in a tremendous location. When we arrive the waves wild and beautiful. And then all calmed, again ridiculous, the colors and beautiful. Everything about this house encourages appreciation of the island. Get out and hike, climb, swim, eat and come back to amazing views. So much thanks to Nikoletta and Anna for organization, lemons, logistics, marmalade, window cleaning and hedgehog. The personal care was amazing and we hope someday to repay the hospitality. What a magical place! The villa is wonderful and thought has been put into everything. The views are wonderful, and we experienced some particularly amazing sunsets. It is difficult to express the sense of well-being gained from this peaceful setting. Just so relaxing! We have all enjoyed swimming in the sparkling blue waters of Kefalonia, particularly Myrtos and Alaties. We also had fabulous days in Fiscardo, Assos and boat hire from Regina's Boats over to Ithaca. It was a bouns to see the turtles when we first arrived in Argostoli. Lovely restaurant down the road at Alati. So nice not to have to drive and the food and service is fantastic. Also had a delicious lunch at Jerusalem Beach. The beds in Baklava villa are so comfortable and the showers are great. We enjoyed many evenings in peace outside the villa soaking up the views. A magical villa in a superb location. Our week in Baklava Villa was magical. The villas clever modern design provides you with sensational views of The Ionian Sea from everyone's room. From the infinity pool and decking to the showers with a sea view, it is a place where memories are made. The location is excellent, within 150 meters you have Atlaties beach with its turquoise waters and Alati restaurant serving sensational seafood. Nikoletta was a wonderful host who was available should we have had any problems (we didn’t). The homemade marmalade & fruit in syrup from her mum was such a lovely touch. Incredibly private but only a 10 min drive from Fiskardo it was a dream location in a heavenly part of Greece. We look forward to returning.
From the moment we walked in the door, we felt like heaven and enjoyed every moment here at Baklava Villa. It is a lovely and very peaceful place with a fantastic view to the sea and wonderful sunsets. The neat comfort made for very relaxing days. Excellent host, super clean and new villa. Really good location with a marvellous little beach and beach side restaurant within footsteps of the property. If you are staying in this part of Greece, I don't believe you could do any better!

A fantastic Island, the northern part is the most beautiful for us, nevertheless we did not get enough time to have a full picture One of the best things is the sunset form the swimming pool. Alaties restaurant is very nice but you need to book well in advance (minimum 2 days). Thanks to Nikoleta, our stay at Baklava Villa was perfect. We will come back!

The place is truly stunning. It was such a luxury and a privilege to be there! We miss it already. As soon as we arrived, we were bowled over with the place. We were so happy. Our holiday was truly special. Homemade oil and jam and your mums eggs and lemons! So kind!!! So so lovely! We really appreciate all the lovely touches too like the cool bag and the binoculars. All the equipment. We adored the view, the music in every room particularly outside! Thank you very much.
What an amazing holiday here at Baklava Villa, we had an incredible time, amazing views, pool, beaches & sunsets! We found the BEST food by fare to be at Alaties Taverna a few minutes' walk down the road. The beach here is also amazing. We also loved the beaches & caves @ Kimilia. We took a lovely boat ride to Ithica. We thoroughly recommend it. We went with "Fiscardo Cruises" had lunch, ice creams, coffees and many georgous views of the island and our 7 yo and 4 yo loved it too! Thank you Nikoletta for everything. This is an idyllic location. We have been to North Kefalonia 5 times now and Baklava is our favorite villa. Stunning! If you can drag yourself away from the villa best things for us: Alati Restaurant on the beach a few yards down the road. Ask for a sunset view. Jerusalem beach and Odysseas Taverna. Shopping and dinner in Fiscardo, Pallea at Ellis was delicious. And of course a day out on Regina's boats. Dafdoundi Bay, lunch at Foki Bay. We had a large boat, and this was so worth it. Staying here has been such a gift to my soul. Baklava Villa is not a place but an experience. The magic in these waters & peace within the hills. Lovely luxury villa in an idyllic peaceful location, with wonderful sea views. 100 yards walk from a small cove and one of the best taverna in the area. The property was spotlessly clean on arrival. A midweek clean was provided with a change of bedding and towels. The pool was cleaned daily. If you are looking for a peaceful base away from the hustle and bustle then I would highly recommend.
It truly was a special place one where memories were forged that will last forever. From the minute we opened the gate to the private villa, we were both struck by the design of the place. It is totally private except for the rugged coastline as our neighbor! We didn't see a soul and the proximity to the beach meant that we were able to not worry ourselves about travelling anywhere. We loved how the villa is designed - perfect for a couple but ideal also for 2 couples. The amount of glass and the bifold doors really do allow the outside in and also for cozy evenings in with the views. The saltwater pool is amazing and is perfect once you get too hot sunbathing. The outside decking area provides a separate living space and we spent much of our time enjoying this feature. Baklava villa is truly an escape from the world on what is a beautiful Greek island. We'll be back!
